Play now, study later! (weekend guide #1)

If you’re looking for something fun and interesting to do this weekend, then look no further.

From music to art, from food to sport, there is a great line up of exciting things to do and all within a reasonable distance and price range.

Friday

For all you music lovers, catch P.H Fat's EP launch at Assembly on Friday night. Entrance is R50 before 10pm and R60 thereafter.

Saturday

Check out the Cornetto: Love is in the Air Music Festival at Bloemendal Wine Estate where Locnville, DJ Fresh and Jax Panik will all be performing. The festival starts at 12.15pm and entrance is only R120.

Where would a Saturday be without healthy, delicious food from the Neighbourhoods Market at the Old Biscuit Mill. Treat yourself to a relaxing Saturday morning of food-lovers bliss from 9am and closes at 2pm.

For the sports fans, make sure you head on down to Newlands stadium for the Stormers' first Super Rugby match this year, against the Hurricanes. The game starts at 5.05pm and tickets will be flying out already, so make sure you get yours!

For those interested in a bit of drama, Anthony Akerman’s play Somewhere on the Border is playing from Wednesday 22 February until this Saturday, 25 February. Tickets range from R80 to R120. This controversial play, well-known to last year's first-year English students, is definitely worth the price.

Sunday

Take the chance to relax and listen to the sounds of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra at Kirstenbosch Gardens. Entrance ranges from R75 to R100, and it opens at 5pm.
