UCT student raped

On Tuesday April 17th at 10am a female UCT student reported that she had been raped. The exact whereabouts of the crime is not yet clear, however, it is thought to have taken place near Main Road in Rondebosch.
The victim was attacked by two men who allegedly took her into a side street. The SAPS are currently investigating the crime and trying to get a clearer picture of what happened.
The victim and her family are being offered support and counsel from both SAPS and UCT. UCT are calling both students and staff to “remain vigilant at all times.”
